This work was ignited by the architectural myth that terracotta roof tiles were originally fabricated by slabs of wet clay being placed across the curvature of a person's thigh; the individual’s body constructing the shape and length of the tile. This myth has been proven inaccurate; however ignited an examination of architecture, material, body, and space, the molding of clay to the human form as well as molding the body to hard fired clay. Are we molding or being molded and what will happen to the traces that are left?
